monologue project

The Monologue Project is my attempt to stay relevant — to myself. With a young one at home (13 months old at the time I’m writing this), most of my day is spent taking care of her. It’s awesome, and I’m extremely lucky to not need work right now, but I do need a little something to feed my actor and artist soul.

This page isn’t meant as a showcase. It’s meant for me to have fun.

So here’s what’s happening: Every week I’ll be working on a new monologue. I’ll post it, sans production, probably sans makeup or lights.

And here’s what’s also happening: Maybe it won’t be every week. Maybe my read will be terrible. Maybe it will be innappropriate for the play. Maybe it will be wrong in every way. But maybe it will be okay, even really good. Maybe I will wear makeup sometimes. Maybe my baby will be in the video with me. The point is not to be perfect, but to do it.

Done is better than perfect.
